What is “Personal Information”?
Personal information, as used in this policy, means information about an identifiable individual. Some of the personal information that Alliance may collect in the course of our business includes demographic information, financial information such as credit card information and personal address information. Personal information as noted above is typically collected through Membership application forms and various documents that Members and guests provide to us from time to time in order to update the information on file.
Policy On Protecting Your Personal Information
We will protect your Personal Information in the following manner:
• we will not sell your personal information to third parties;
• we will keep all personal information that you provide to us secure from inadvertent disclosure;
• we will only gather and keep the information necessary to provide you with the proper services; and
• we will allow you the opportunity to review any personal information we have on file about you and make changes if errors are discovered.
Collection of Personal Information
In order to provide you with our services, from time to time we may require you to provide us with personal information. Before we collect any personal information from you, however, we will identify the purpose for which we need to collect and use this information.
Some of the reasons for which we may need personal information include:
• to process your membership application;
• too update your membership file; or
• if member courses require verification of you identity.
Alliance will limit its collection of your personal information to that which is reasonably necessary to provide services to you or for other identified purposes. Where other information is requested, we will only use this information for the purpose identified at the time we collect it, for internal statistical purposes or for external purposes only when the data collected is aggregated so as not to make any of your personal information identifiable.
Consent
Before we collect any personal, private information from you, we will get your consent. Consent can be either express or implied. In matters relating to particularly sensitive information such as financial information, we would require you to provide us with express consent. Express consent can be given either in writing or orally.
Disclosure and Information Retention
Alliance will never sell or otherwise disclose your personal information to any outside agency or organization for commercial purposes without your consent or as provided in this policy. On occasion, certain organizations may present an opportunity for our members that we will determine to be of interest to you and we will pass this information on to you.
Unless you identify an individual that may make inquiries on your behalf, we will not disclose any information about you or your account with Alliance to anyone except you, or anyone named by you or as is necessary to provide you with our services.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, there may be circumstances where Alliance may disclose your Personal Information without your consent. These situations may include the following:
• where we believe that we are required to by law;
• internally where we are required to fulfill a contract or to provide you with the services you have contracted for;
• where we feel we need to in order to protect our rights or the property of Alliance; or
• where we have first acquired your consent.
Alliance may use your personal information on an aggregated basis for disclosure to third parties provided that you are not personally identified.
How we Safeguard your Personal Information
All personal information we have on file is held in a secure location, whether locked in cabinets or password protected on our network. No one without proper authorization has access to your information.
As it relates to Alliance's web site, our use of industry-standard firewalls are a combination of hardware and software that separately secures the Internet from our organization's web servers and our web servers from our data. They are designed to prevent unauthorized access to our web servers or our data. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Encryption is used whenever financial information, customer identification, personal information and passwords are transmitted to our servers over the Internet. It is, however, important to acknowledge that, while we endeavour to ensure a secure website, complete confidentiality and security may not be possible.
Accuracy, Openness and Individual Access
Alliance will maintain as accurate a file as possible and will update your personal information as you provide it to us. At any time, you may make a request to see the information that we have on file about you. If you believe that we have inaccurate information on file, you may request that we update our records. Likewise, you may request that we destroy any outdated information.

Terms and Conditions
This agreement (the "Agreement") is entered into by and between you ("you") and Alliance Golf Memberships regarding your use of all aspects of Alliance Golf Memberships (the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to be bound by the terms and conditions contained in this general policy.
1. Rights Associated with the Service. The Service is designed to help you find and have access to a wide variety of member golf courses throughout Canada and the United States. In particular, the Service provides brief descriptions of member golf courses and access to tee times to all of our member courses. Alliance Golf Memberships owns and retains all intellectual property rights to the Service; but Alliance Golf Memberships does not claim ownership rights or proprietary rights to the member courses to which you have access.
2. Information. It is hereby acknowledged that any information provided by this Service is provided for information purposes only. The facts and data provided are believed to be reliable when posted but Alliance Golf Memberships cannot guarantee that the information is accurate or complete or that it will be current at all times. Specific questions about a member course should be made to that particular member course.
3. Use of the Service. You may only use the Service for your own personal use (i.e., non-commercial use). If you are uncertain whether your intended use of the Service is permissible, please contact us. In addition, Alliance Golf Memberships shall have the right in its sole discretion to suspend or terminate the Service or your access to it. Upon such termination or suspension of the Service you shall not be entitled to a refund of any portion of your membership fee.
4. Liability. Alliance Golf Memberships is not responsible in any manner for direct, indirect, special or consequential damages howsoever caused arising out of the use of this Service or for your use of or experience at the member course. In particular, Alliance Golf Memberships makes no specific representations about the quality of the member courses or your ability to golf thereon at the time or times selected by you. You acknowledge that the Service is used to facilitate your access to member courses and that any specific claim for damages of any kind should be made against the member course.
5. Modifications of Terms. Alliance Golf Memberships shall have the right to modify the terms of this Agreement at any time, which modification shall be effective immediately upon posting.
6. Miscellaneous. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be deemed superseded by a valid enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remaining provisions shall be enforced. Alliance Golf Membership’s failure to act with respect to a breach by you or others does not waive Alliance Golf Membership’s right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches. The failure of Alliance Golf Membership to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. This agreement shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario.
Although Alliance golf membership has a no refund policy as stated in out terms and conditions, we do understand that there are extenuating circumstances that may arise from time to time that may warrant a refund of some or all of the funds exchanged at the time of purchase.
